I thought credit score captures the average age of open accounts. Why wouldn't one want to close the newer accounts in order to bump the age of credit history? Or do I not understand how the average age is calculated?

Thank you for the response. Just so I am 100% clear, the protection extends to All forms of lawsuits other than those by IRS or familial dispute related law suits right (A stranger falling at my house and then suing me as an example)

I made the transfer in 2014. I didn't physically receive any amount. The money went from fidelity ROTH IRA to Vanguard ROTH IRA. And neither have any tax forms. I did lose a transfer fee to fidelity during the transfer. Not sure if any of this needs to be disclosed to IRS?

I transferred a ROTH IRA from fidelity to vanguard and don't see any tax related forms on either side. Is there something I need to do with filing taxes this year? I did not physically receive any money. Just transferred my ROTH in fidelity to my ROTH in vanguard.
