Should I "Consolidate your accounts" in Vanguard?

What does this mean for me?
Is there any negative repercussion for converting a "Rollover IRA" into a "Traditional IRA Brokerage Account"?

It's just like picking funds in your 401k or IRA. You look at the plan expense ratios first because costs matter. Then look for index funds, preferably total market funds. I'm still figuring out the 401k and IRA funds too. Expect some upcoming posts with my picks and thought processes to understand...

Its simple and not intrusive, and is fairly common on other forums.

I do. However, I live in a market where even entry level homes are around $1 million. Its unclear if I'll be moving or waiting to own.

I'm pretty turned off from the VUL and won't be investing in it.

I am kind of curious if the product is useful for anyone (other than the salesman)? Is there any situation in which its worthwhile.
