The Portland Bogleheads® first local chapter meetings began in 2008. The chapter meets on the second Tuesday of the third month of each quarter: March, June, September and December.
The chapter dinner meetings are informal; there is no presentation. There are introductions, followed by a meal and a discussion on financial topics. If a member has a specific question about investing to the group, there is time for that also. The meetings usually have two round tables pulled together and can always add a third.
Meeting venues
The chapter met regularly at Ling Garden restaurant in Portland for many years. When the restaurant closed (temporally) in the spring of 2016, the chapter held meetings at the Lucky Lab Brew Pub in Portland. Subsequently, meetings have been held at Carmella’s Wines, DeNicola’s restaurant and Old Spaghetti Factory.
