It might be difficult to comprehend the differences from the numbers alone. Suggest adding a chart that showed the effects over time. Scatter chart with Year on the X-axis, Net Returns (Columns D, I) on the Y-axis. Also, "Year" could be any period of time.

Should Columns D and E be titled "Net Return" instead of "End"? Suggest Columns J, K be titled "Difference from Net". LadyGeek 02:18, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

I added a chart to the zoho sheet. I also added a chart to googledocs sheet but it doesn't seem to export to XLS or ODS.

I get an error on the zoho chart. I also tried exporting to Open Office Calc and PDF. Nothing is exporting. Maybe it's the error. Perhaps it's best to revert. Bummer. It was worth a shot. LadyGeek 21:28, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi, LadyGeek. I just went in to the zoho sheet and ran tests:

Windows XP PC: Export to Microsoft excel worksheet worked OK with some formatting problems (row heights are zero for rows 2-4). Export to PDF worked with some formatting issues (same as above) I did not export to ODF since I don't have OpenOffice in my windows PC

Ubuntu 9.04 VMWARE VM: Export to ODF worked but there are some formatting issues. Export to PDF also worked but with some formatting issues.

Zoho is pretty glitchy, and apparently so is their export function. However users can use sheet via the zoho link and make changes without affecting the original sheet. In fact if user hits F5 in the browser, it restores the sheet to the original state (i.e. pulls the orig sheet back up from zoho).

The google version of the sheet doesn't allow users to make modifications without edit permission which requires them to use the export. Unfortunately, the google export function doesn't export the charts. DSInvestor 00:20, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

No errors? I tried one more thing - enabled cookies. All of a sudden, I get the chart. Zoho needs a browser cookie to work. Same here on formatting problems. I had to drag down rows 2 & 3 to display them in any exported format, including PDF. Try disabling cookies and see if you get chart errors. The chart makes a huge difference, along with your titles (=concatenate...). Back to the original "need browser cookie" problem. BTW, Sheet 2 has broken #REF, I don't think you were using it for anything.

Are you running Ubuntu 9.04 as a VMWARE image from Win XP or vs. versa? I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 installed inside a Win XP NTFS file system. Had problems with external drive partitions. Try WUBI, an officially supported Ubuntu installer for Windows. Haven't looked back. LadyGeek 01:06, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
