"The Plan is Not a Mutual Fund or an Exchange Traded Fund

Although money contributed to the iShares 529 Plan will be invested in Portfolios that hold Underlying Investments including ETFs, neither the iShares 529 Plan, nor any of its Portfolios, is a mutual fund or an ETF. An investment in the iShares 529 Plan is an investment in municipal fund securities that are issued and offered by the Trust. These securities are not registered with the SEC or any state. The iShares 529 Plan’s Portfolios are not registered as investment companies with the SEC or any state."

The Arkansas ishares 529 Plan is only available from fee-only Registered Investment Advisors.

State tax deduction or credit for contributions: Contributions to the Arkansas 529 plan of up to $5,000 ($10,000 for married taxpayers filing jointly) per year are deductible in computing Arkansas taxable income. Contribution deadline is December 31. For 2009, contributions made by check must be received on or before January 9, 2010.

State tax treatment of rollovers: Arkansas follows federal tax-free treatment for rollovers except that outbound rollovers are subject to the recapture of prior state tax deductions.

Age-based investment options: Portfolio expenses range from 0.59% - 0.62%

The 7 iShares Year-of-Enrollment Portfolios are designed for the investor to choose the portfolio that most closely corresponds to the year the beneficiary plans to begin college. Over time, as the beneficiary approaches their year-of-enrollment, the portfolio will gradually (and automatically) shift its asset allocation from a more aggressive mix of investments to a more conservative mix.

Static investment options: Portfolio expenses range from 0.59% - 0.63%

The 4 iShares Asset Allocation Portfolios are designed to match a specific risk profile (Aggressive, Moderate, Conservative, and Fixed Income). The asset allocation remains relatively fixed over time. The 9 individualrepresent various asset classes such as domestic equity, international equities, fixed income, and real estate.

Single Funds: Portfolio expenses range from 0.50% - 1.07%
