To those who own the Bridgeway Ultra Small Co. fund (BRSIX), do you own it in a taxable or tax-deffered account?

That fund is tax managed so it works great in taxable. They did have to make a large distribution last year like almost everyone.

Tax managed is by definition is "actively" managed. What you are looking for is low ER and turnover. BRSIX has an ER and turnover like a microcap index fund, but is tax managed.

Mine's in a Roth. I have several funds I'd put in taxable before that one.

Mine's in a Roth too. Guess I was lucky. I did an IRA transfer to the Roth in Dec 2008 when it had already dropped about 35%.

How long do you think it is going to take to get back? I really took a hit with this but it is coming back. If my numbers are correct, its down about 30% since 2007. Any insight would be welcomed.

Oh, yes. There is quite a discussion about BRSIX in the Theory section with Rick Ferri and others. Sorry, don't know how to post it here. Just search there for BRSIX. Hope it helps.
