St. Louis Bogleheads

Post by Howard Donnelly »

Is there a Bogleheads Chapter in St. Louis? If so, may I have the contact information?

Don't know of one. I think there is just you, me and Larry. :(

If you get five folks who want to meet, and one of you agrees to be the Local Chapter coordinator (that person doesn't have to be an investing guru), just PM me and let me know the coordinator's contact information. I'll assign your group the next local chapter number and add your group to the Local Chapters Map.

Good luck!

Count me in - is that 5?

I'm happy to be local coordinator unless someone else is interested.

There was an earlier thread with interest as well.

Seems like there may be more than 5 now...

The potential list includes:
Larry
Don
Doc
Saluki31
Howard Donnelly
Jared

Looks like you've got enough to get a chapter going. All we need now is for one of you to agree to be the coordinator. Let me know via PM if one of you is willing to step up and be the coordinator for a St. Louis Local Chapter.

OK, I PM'ed Mel and agreed to be local coordinator for St. Louis Chapter.

If anyone else wants to do it, please feel free to step up.

I'll start a new thread soon to solicit interest in a meeting.

Thanks

Thanks to Don for stepping up and agreeing to be the St. Louis Chapter coordinator. St. Louis is now Chapter #41.

Here's a map of all the Local Chapters:

Congrats! I just wanted to mention that some chapters use Yahoo Groups to help get organized. Perhaps not right now, maybe later, but you should be aware that this choice is available.

Complete instructions are on the wiki. I'll be happy to answer any questions.

Wiki article link: Boglehead Local Chapters
Wiki To some, the glass is half full. To others, the glass is half empty. To an engineer, it's twice the size it needs to be.

Sounds like St. Louis is going to have a healthy Local Chapter.

Feel free to use this sub-forum to communicate with each other regarding possible meeting dates and locations.

Ha, yes I am. I ran into a Catch-22. STL didn't have a chapter, so I didn't read the Chapter forum and no one PMed me about it. I only came across the "first meeting" thread while searching for something else. Ah well.
