Well, I'm going out into the wilderness for a few weeks. I probably won't be back here till the 25th of November or later. So here is a little something to remember me by. Wink

For all you music, western or gold fans, check out the soundtrack Exclamation

all the best.

Surely - surely - when there are two separate threads on - really now - the Bogleheads forum - on Clint Eastwood and gold we have to be looking at a bubble...

Give me credit for good timing. I would argue that at least my post got in ahead of the 'Clint Eastwood and Gold' bubble.

PS. I can't remember there ever being this many live threads on the Boglehead or the old Morningstar Diehard forums about Gold. No doubt about it, we certainly can keep up on current fads.

Just how thin can gold leaf be made? Is it possible that someone could make a thin airtight sphere and inflate it with hot air, producing a literal gold bubble?

The gold contacts in electronics are allegedly only a few microns thick.

Gold leaf for illumination makes tissue paper look really thick.
