This is good. A lot of people have unrealistic expectations which is another way of saying that in some ways, they never grew up.

I do taxes on the side and try my best to give people one or two good ideas to consider so that they could improve their financial situation. Most people aren't all that interested. So I only press my ideas if people are interested. Many people, like the prospective client will never get it. The blame for poor finances will always be with someone else.

Other than the sentence disparaging index funds, everything he said was spot on. Brilliant.

I'd like to see Harry Potter and Warren Buffett at least try.

I'm sure that for some of us it is like talking to our brother in law! Great clip.

This clip describes a good bulk of investors, which is why most outside of the boglehead world need a good financial planner.

I don't know, practically the first words out of the customer's mouth were "I don't want to pay fees."

I can relate.

Paying a reasonable fee would be worth the rescue from a few costly mistakes described in the video.

Very funny!

Especially the part about those risky index funds! I wonder if he charges a fee for recommendations of non-risky funds. No wonder people don't like fees.
