WSJ Interview Request

Post by Mel Lindauer »

Hello Everyone:

Kirsten Grind from the WSJ contacted me. She's looking to interview some Bogleheads. If you fit the following description and would like to be interviewed for her article, contact her at Kirsten.grind@wsj.com.

She's looking specifically for Vanguard investors who are new to investing in the company’s funds, or have significantly increased their holdings in Vanguard funds at the expense of another fund company.

Cool deal Mel. I seem to fit the profile she is looking for. I'll shoot her an email and see if she is interested in what I have to say!

My wife and I recently found the Bogleheads site after reading The Bogleheads' Guide to Investing book. A couple weeks ago we opened a Roth IRA with Vanguard up to the 2012 limit and plan to contribute the limit again in January 2013. My company 401K is with Fidelity where I contribute up to my company match. For our Roth, we wanted to be customers of Vanguard. I'll send her a note.

I might fit what she is looking for. Since last September, I've gradually consolidated wife's and my Roth IRA from four different institutions into Vanguard, and also liquidated all my taxable accounts from various institutions and opened a Vanguard account with 3-fund portfolio.

I will email her to see whether she is interested.

I'm definitely someone she may be looking for. I'll send an email.

Thanks for the heads-up about this!

Dang! Too bad it's not 2000.

I could have given her an ear full back then. :)
