Update - Saturday Nov. 20 4:00PM: LOS ANGELES Meetup

Saturday November 20th at 4:00 PM at the Starbucks on Hawthorne and Artesia in Torrance (17400 Hawthorne Boulevard, Torrance, CA)

At our last meetup (on 6/12/2010: Link), we discussed scheduling the next meeting sometime in October. So it looks like I am a little behind in terms of organizing this meeting, but better late than never! That being said, since we are already in the middle of October, I think shooting for November is probably more realistic. I will suggest Saturday November 6th, assuming we can gather enough interest by then. If not, then I would recommend we push it back two weeks to November 20th.

Last time there were four of us and we met at a Starbucks in Torrance. The meeting was informal, but each of us read Predictably Irrational beforehand, which provided somewhat of a basis for conversation. I am hoping we can get at least 6-8 people this time. Please chime in if you would be interested in coming out.

Date coordination might be easier to do through e-mail as it doesn't require people to check the site. Since you've so graciously volunteered to organize us I think we should provide you with our e-mail addresses. We can work through people's schedules and then promote the event on this forum.

I agree, e-mail is probably a lot easier. With so many things going on, I often forget to check the forums too. Please feel free to PM me with your e-mail addresses. We might also want to consider setting up a Meetup group. Either way, as long as there aren't any objections, I think we should plan for Saturday the 20th. Seems like that should work for almost everyone.

As there were no other suggestions, I've updated the main post to confirm the location:

Starbucks on Hawthorne and Artesia in Torrance (17400 Hawthorne Boulevard, Torrance, CA)

This will hopefully make it easy for people taking the freeway, as it is located very close to the 405.
