Bogleheads Local Chapters - General Info and Chapter List

Hi Current and Potential Bogleheads Local Chapter Members:

This subforum is for all of your Local Chapter's current meeting notices, and your exchanges about where to meet, dates, etc.

For clarity's sake, please make sure the title of your post includes the name of the Local Chapter, so those who are interested can see at a glance which Chapter's members and potential members the post is directed to.

You can also have discussions here, rather than using separate group lists, if you'd prefer. That should make things a lot easier, since members would only have to check one place (here). Additionally, it would probably attract more members, since they'll see your posts here.

For those who are interested, here is a map with information about the existing Bogleheads Local Chapters: Bogleheads Local Chapters - Google Maps. For your convenience, we've also added a listing of all the Local Chapters with contact information in the post immediately following this to save you time and effort. (Please note that the Local Chapters locations are not in alphabetical order, but rather in the order they were formed.)

Additional new Local Chapters can be formed in other cities if there's enough interest. All it takes is for one person to volunteer to be the Chapter coordinator and at least four or more other members who express an interest in forming the Local Chapter and meeting to discuss investing topics of mutual interest. The Chapter coordinator doesn't have to be an investing guru but simply communicates with the other members to arrange for the meeting dates, locations and times.Once those requirements are in place, I'll issue that group the next Diehards Local Chapter number and add the group's information to the listing here and to the Local Chapter Map.

Anyone who has comments/questions/suggestions about Diehards Local Chapters should feel free to PM me.
