A great turn-out for October's meeting, 22 people. Warren really raised the bar with the power point presentation on Portfolio Rebalancing Strategies. For those of you who didn't know it, Warren brought in his own laptop/projector for the meeting. Wow!

The next meeting will be on Saturday, January 19, 2013. Same time (10:30AM) and same place (Royal Oak Public Library). January's agenda was made up from your topic suggestions we collected on Saturday. We chose Portfolio Withdrawal Strategies for the tenured investors and Components of a Total Financial Plan for new/intermediate investors.

Our chapter is really taking shape! Each week I am contacted by someone new wanting to be on our email list. Wow! This is pretty cool -- ended up stumbling across this site and there is information abounding and now "local chapter meetings!" Sounds like I missed a great presentation at the last event -- maybe someday I'll be able to participate in one of these.

Can anyone who is interested in Bogle style investing or has a Vanguard account attend this? Or do you have to be a member of a chapter officially, and if so, how do you do that? Thanks for the help in advance.

With 20ish people coming to the meetings, the rsvp helps ensure there are enough seats in the room.
