MSN Money Stock Quotes for Excel
I've just switched computers and am trying to find the above titled Excel add in. A bit of Googling leads me to believe Microsoft is no longer hosting this file.
Does anyone have it or can point me to it?
Thanks.

I recently ran into this issue when upgrading to Windows 7 and Office 2010. As far as I can tell the MSN Excel Add-in has been removed from online. Turns out I had saved a downloaded copy from before so I was able to install it.
The add-in worked for a spreadsheet in "compatibility mode" (.xls) but not for the same spreadsheet when saved in 2010 mode (.xlsx). So I just kept the spreadsheet in the old mode and everything is fine and as before.
I suspect that the add-in was removed from online because it is now incompatible with Office 2010.

The add-in is gone, because this functionality is built into Excel 2010. I don't know if it exists in 2007. For Excel 2010
1. Click the Data tab
2. Click Connections right below Data
3. Click Add
4. MSN MoneyCentral Investor Stock Quotes
5. Click Properties
6. Definition
7. Parameters
8. Use the following Value
9. Enter your Symbols separated by commas 'VTI,VXUS,BND' etc.

68ShelbyGT500KR posted this accurate and useful information back in May. I have just downloaded the msnsq.exe file and installed it in Excel 2010 (under Windows7 X64).There is a link further down the page authored by "jack"

Unfortunately, when I tried to start it the first time, it reported an error in the initial Javascript dialog script. Can someone please tell me where to report this error so as to get technical support?

you can also try Google Docs, I still use built-in option in Excel for my AA but am now moving to Goggle Docs, it does the same thing and can now uninstall excel on my home computer.

I think Microsoft quit supporting this add in long ago. That's part of the reason that the file is so hard to track down. Could the 64 bit Windows be the problem?

Re: MSN Money Stock Quotes for Excel
I just set this up and it seems to be working:
http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/670 ... #_comments
Its a little hard to understand how to set up from their site.
1) download and install the add on
2) go to the options area in excel, addons
3) on the bottom you'll see "add ons" go, if you dont see paragostocksquotefunctions and userinterface, you need to click 'automation' and add them.
Then you can use =PSQ(A2) to get the current price etc..

I use something developed by Randy Harmelink. Quick search on the excel function RCHGetElementNumber will you land you on his yahoo groups page.
