Federal disability retirement (FERS)

Post by Professor Emeritus »

I just won a victory for my disabled wife regarding FERS disability calculations
for long service (20-29 year )federal employees who become disabled between ages 60 and 62.
It is worth about a 10% boost in pension.
Its a purely legal issue so it should apply to anyone in the same situation.
Feel free to PM me if you need details.

Good for you! Amazing you would even know about such a benefit - seems to have some strict limitations.

Its the standard disability retirement . They were simply using the wrong calculation for people in this group. To be truthful all kinds of people told me that it was a "you can't fight the Feds" type of case. So victory feels very very good.
