Repeat: PBS Frontline The Retirement Gamble

Post by Rob5TCP »

This is a repeat from last year of the expose on Wall Street's "small" fees that add up over time and the effects it can have. I am not sure if John Bogle is in this or not.
In the NY area it airs at 10PM tonight on Channel 13 (WNET), Caught part of it the last time, will catch the rest tonight.

For anyone interested, you can view most of their old programming, including this one, by accessing their website.

I watched it while in a hotel room, doing some travel. I didn't see it the first time around. Worth watching if you've not seen it.

Here's a link to the video: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline ... nt-gamble/

and a transcript: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline ... script-43/

and the Robert Hiltonsmith paper on the hidden and excessive costs of 401ks that was mentioned in the video: http://www.demos.org/sites/default/file ... emos_0.pdf
