Ducks & Family are embarking on an exciting new phase... we closed on our new home this afternoon.
We are using the equity in our current home plus a large but doable mortgage to purchase a home in arguably the best zip code in the county. It is a foreclosure that only ever got to 90% completion. There's no kitchen, and about 40 other small items on our punchlist, but with some patience and sweat equity, we will have increased our net worth by about 20% with this purchase. It is a great neighborhood with great schools, and we'll probably live here 20 years or more.
Now the hard work begins in earnest!

I'll bite. Which zip code is "arguably the best zip code in the country"?

Yeah County. Not Country. My new zip code would be ... hmm ... maybe 25th or so on
that list.
Also - Ducks is a she.

Congrats! Hope you can put the little ducklings to work, but I suspect you'll be running extra duty for a while to get them settled in.
To some, the glass is half full. To others, the glass is half empty. To an engineer, it's twice the size it needs to be.
