Skylight shades?

Postby yolli71 » Sat Jul 27, 2013 6:55 am

We have 2 skylights in our master BR. We love the light it brings in during the day, but hate the light it brings in first thing in the morning...it's very difficult to "sleep in" in our room. Does anyone know of any skylight shade options? I went to a blinds store and they sell the honeycomb shades for skylights, but those require me getting a very long hook to open and shut the shades (we have a vaulted ceiling in our bedroom).

Is this our only solution or are there any other alternatives out there?

There are motorized skylight shades out there if you don't mind spending the $$$. I just use an extendable painter's pole with a hook on the end. Works fine.
