Wife has had off an on nausea, 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off, for 5 years, many different doc consults, within the past 60 days continous problems. Recently diagnosed with enlarged liver this past Friday. Scheduled for MRI tomorrow, anyone else had these issues.

One can use the internet to learn up on generic facts related to an illness of any sort.
But I can't imagine any advantage to trying to diagnose via internet. You want one or more trained professionals for that, hands-on...

I agree - but even that has pitfalls - like uncomfortable and perhaps even dangerous diagnostic tests and procedures (compliments of defensive medicine). I think we all have to self-regulate our use of the medical system today.

I am sorry to hear of your wife’s situation. I do hope she gets the help she needs to remedy her condition.

The Internet is a great resource to get information on medical conditions that is useful to help develop a good list of questions to ask her doctors, but should not be used for medical diagnosis. However, this forum and most forums are not useful for medical diagnosis and guidance either. One caution is to only rely on information from known, reputable websites such as Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, NIH, medical associations, etc.

If you have not already, I would recommend getting a second opinion from a specialist. Most doctors welcome this and it never hurts. Even if it only confirms the initial diagnosis and treatment, that has value. Best wishes.
