"John C. Bogle, The $24 Billion Man"
Allan Roth, a Boglehead author and adviser, has written this insightful tribute to Jack Bogle:
John C. Bogle, the $24 Billion Man
Allan, thank you for reminding us how fortunate we are to have this remarkable man for our friend and mentor.
Best wishes.

While we're on the subject of low expenses, I was surprised to see how cheap some of Vanguard's admiral shares are these days. In many cases, they are even less expensive than their comparable ETFs. Mid-cap value is only 10 basis points, while the total stock market is only 7. Those are numbers you used to only see for institutional classes.
And today when I purchased EAFE Value (EFV) through VBS, my commission was only $2.

This is beautiful and thanks for posting, Taylor. I especially love this paragraph, as I think it's how all Bogleheads feel deeply:
"Princeton professor, Burton Malkiel, author of A Random Walk Down Wall Street, will be one of the speakers at this forum. I credit him with teaching me the futility of spending money to try to outsmart the market. I credit Bogle with giving me the index fund as the tool to implement my investing. I asked Malkiel what Bogle has meant for investors, and he responded, "Jack Bogle is the greatest friend the individual investor has ever had." I couldn't agree more."

Thanks for posting such a nice article.
Never underestimate the power of the force of low cost index funds.

That's a very nice article Allan. Thank you.
But you are too conservative. Character matters. Priceless!
And thank you Taylor for bringing it to our attention.

Re: "John C. Bogle, The $24 Billion Man"
Would the event honoring Jack Bogle ( John Bogle will be honored next week in New York at the John C. Bogle Legacy Forum) be streamed online?
I will be interested in watching the same, if available.
