Perhaps my horse could take your place as the moderator, Mel.
Which end of the horse are we talking about? South or north?

Mel,

You've been a gentleman and a scholar, at least on this forum.

Heck, as a "former" Marine, you should be able to handle "almost" anything.

It's actually a two-way street. Taylor and I have each other's backs, and there's no one I'd rather have covering my backside than my old paratrooper buddy.

Which brings us right back to the horse's orintation again, north or south? Enquiring minds :-)

I see he's still moonlighting... http://www.redneckbank.com/ nice to see someone, errr something, doing well in this lousy economy... I wonder if Rick gets discounted banking fees due to his family connections at the bank?

Bogleheads Guide to Retirement Planning

Post by family_doc »

Dear Mel,

Rose and I would like to purchase a book. We have one on pre-order from Amazon, but I will cancel it because it will not arrive in time for DH VIII.

Regards,

Video

Post by BarbInSD »

I wondered if there would be a video (or even audio) cd available after the meeting, for those of us who are unable to attend.

Thanks,
Barbara

Supposedly, Bill Faloon from Wiley will have between 75 and 90 books available. I suggest you get your two copies right after you register.

new book

Post by gailcox »

Hey folks,

I've had several emails from Bogleheads attending BH 8, being held in about 10 days, requesting to "reserve" a book.

We will not be reserving any books for anyone. (not even me!)

This will be a first-come, first-serve basis and only one book per person. This is so we won't have book hoarders.

I wish everyone attending could have a book, but since this book isn't scheduled out from the publisher until later in October, we consider it a special treat that a small quantitiy will be available.

Thanks! Gail

Looks like we'll be giving everyone a shot at a book on a first-come first-served basis, as Gail said. If you want extra books, let Bill Falloon know when you buy your first book. Then, if he has any books left after everyone has had a shot at getting a book, he'll let everyone know more books are available and you can then get your additional copy or copies.
