A short term event like this is not meaningful. A balanced, diversified portfolio invested for the long term is the way to go.

This batch of threads can be valuable to those individuals attempting to time their entry into the market - futile isn't it?

The biggest gains of the year, followed by one of the biggest losses can help an investor assess their tolerance for market volatility.

Are you trying to publish a children's book: "It's a good day......."?

See all the little wiggles, and the BIG wiggles, it's all part of investing in the stock the market. I said "part" and didn't imply or say anything else.
