Taylor as I said in previous posts, I appreciate your mentorship. The thought of me helping anyone here is far fetched, but believe it or not, I once did receive an e-mail from someone wanting my advice. My response to them was to follow the advice of Taylor Larimore!! You are a kind and wise man and I am honored to know you.
P.S. Give Pat my regards.

Wow!... no idea, even though we are practically neighbors.
Taylor, my deepest sympathy in the loss of your wife, Pat. I know she must have been a very beautiful lady. Having been married for 60 years, I can't comprehend the loss you must feel. Time is a great healer and memories will live with you forever.

PS Thank you for the good guidance you gave me in the past. I always look forward to your posts.
Having had the pleasure of meeting Pat and sharing time with you and her on a number of occasions, including our first Bogleheads event at your lovely condo, I can tell those who didn't know her that both you and we have lost a very special lady. Fortunately you had her for those 62 years and the good memories of those years you shared together just might help ease the loss.
We're always here for you whenever you need us. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's eagerly looking forward to seeing you again at our upcoming 2013 Bogleheads Conference in Oct. See you then my good friend.

SIxty-two years! I remember being astonished to realize one day that our anniversary was now more than half of my age, i.e. I have lived with my wife longer than I have lived before I met her.
Wonderful video.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss and I thank you for sharing the video clip that your son made about your wife's life. It is very moving and I got quite choked up. It is a wonderful testament to a long and lovely marriage... one of life's gifts that is becoming rarer and rarer these days.
You have written so lovingly of Pat on the forum that I'm sure many of us feel as if we all knew her in some way. I am so sorry for your loss, but happy for your 62 wonderful years together. Thank you for the video and I hope to meet you at BH12.

I am terribly saddened to hear of your loss. I did not know Pat, but I am sure that she has played a major part in your life's work and in helping others. I have been blessed to have found this site, and your sage advice.
I was a recent college grad four years ago, and in student loan debt before finding this site. I am now recently married, well on my way with retirement planning, and about to close on our first home--- which is in large part due to all the wisdom I have acquired here.
If there is anything I can do now to offer support, please let me know.
I'm saddened to hear of your loss. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
I don't post much, but I come here almost every day to see what wisdom I can glean from this site. Your simple and elegant messages always help keep me centered, or get back on track if I go off searching for that "perfect" portfolio.
