Chris Martenson is a world-renowned expert on identifying dangerous, yet hidden, exponential growth patterns in global economies, energy demand, and food consumption...
And he is predicting a 60% stock market collapse will strike in the next three months.
Martenson’s opinion isn’t to be taken lightly, as his research is highly regarded by the United Nations, UK Parliament, and Fortune 500 companies.
His shocking forecast is based on a new alarming pattern he’s identified — he’s calling it “a dreaded triple top” (pictured below).
Not the dreaded triple drop! That always happens, doesn't it?
Technical analysis is so fun...I'm glad a "scientist" was able to figure this out, because the markets work just like they do physics...
I thought the dreaded triple top was a cone with chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry with an extra cherry on top. My tummy always hurt after scarfing that one down, not to mention the dreaded ice cream headache.
The surest way to know the future is when it becomes the past.

And no one gets any publicity for predicting minor changes from a flat market. That's why there is such a proliferation of "noise" predicting armageddon or Dow 36,000!
The give-away that this is a complete load of tosh is the appeal to the authority of the United Nations, UK Parliament, and Fortune 500 companies. Each of these groups is defined by being a large collection of competing opinions, where the identifiable entity-in-charge (UN Secretary-General, Speaker of the House, Mr Market) is more a referee than an executive. Hence, these bodies do not really have an official opinion on anything - perfect when you're trying to avoid the chance that there might exist any evidence to refute your claims.

Thanks for posting this. I'm changing my Asset Allocation right now. 100% in cash. Whew. I timed it perfect this time. Thanks again.

NOte in the article they cite the book Aftershock
I was asked to read it by an advisor we work with, IMO one of worst pieces of trash I've read
These people are NOT in the forecasting business but the fame business. And one doesn't get famous forecasting the "ordinary" only the extreme
I used to give a talk listing many outlier forecasts by famous economists --none of which came true, but sure scared many people
Best wishes

If this was a real scientific theory, it would have a much cooler name like "Death Cross" or "Hindenburg Omen". You're never going to stir the blood of the ignorant masses with a name like "Dreaded Triple Top" (although starting with "Dreaded" is a step in the right direction - maybe if they could scientifically tie it to "Dread Pirate Roberts", like so "Dread Pirate Top Sudden Death Stop".
I would definitely sell if I knew a "Dread Pirate Top Sudden Death Stop" was coming (although it's a bit lengthy of a name).
That said, Chris Martenson does have some interesting stuff (although definitely in the gloom & doom camp) - but if you listened to it, you would have sold long, long ago and probably never bought since.
Martenson's wiki page is somewhat sketchy and is mostly scientific. Very little about his economic "prowess".
Wiki states that the bio seems to have been written more as an advertisement with no direct sources and a major
contributor seems to have a direct connection to him.
I'm a scientist. I predict a 8.58% drop from today's close at some point during the year, followed by a recovery and year-end close 1.7% up. I call it the "Trey Burke's block was clean" collapse with a "why can't Hancock miss" double-take.

"Good night, Wesley. I'll probably have to drop 60% in the morning."

Is he an economist or a scientist? (We should never confuse the two.)
