Why doesn't any LifeStrategy funds have TIPS?

Excellent question. I have wondered the same thing. I'd be very happy with Life Strategy Conservative if some of the bonds were in TIPS. It doesn't strike me as very "conservative" not to have at least some explicit inflation protection built in. Instead, I use Vanguard Target Retirement Income, but I am not that enthralled with their foreign bond holdings.

Just pick an LS Fund with higher stock allocation than you want and use a separate TIPS fund to dilute down to the desired AA.
