VG Short-Term Inv-Grade - Convert to Admiral

I have five figures in VFSTX (investor shares) within my six figure traditional IRA. I was thinking that I would qualify to convert these shares to admiral (VFSUX). However, I do not see this option on the Vanguard website. Could someone please confirm the qualifications?

Thanks,
Ryan

It's $10K for index funds and $50K for active funds like STIG.

Just do an exchange of all shares from your present Investor share fund to "a new fund" Short-Term Inv-Grade Admiral fund. Oops - I read six figures in investor shares, the exchange is only possible if you have $50,000 in investor class shares.

Edited to reflect 50K required

You need a min of 50k in the find to qualify. You can't combine from diff accounts to meet the qualification. Once you qualify to convert, you will see something like qualified to convert to admiral shares message on your holdings page.

Just for others who might read this, do *not* do this in a taxable account. An exchange is a taxable event. A conversion to Admiral shares is not a taxable event.
