You need to compare expense ratio, yield and duration.

Not a huge difference in duration. But there is in credit quality.

I am sure you are aware that the return is likely to be much lower over the next several years - closer to 1.5%.

If I lived in a state income tax state, I'd want a state-speciifc fund to save those taxes also.

I am sure you are aware that the return is likely to be much lower over the next several years - closer to 1.5%.
Op... wouldn't tht imply that the present monthly annualized yield of 3.0 - 3.1% would have to be changed by virtual doubling of the share price??

Where are you getting that yield information? Vanguard specifies the yield on VWITX at about 1.5%.

The Vanguard one, the costs are lower and that usually results in better performance.
