Anytime! Don’t hesitate to ask any additional questions or concerns you may have.

I agree. There has been a lot of real estate crowdfunding platforms hit the markets over the past decade. Some platforms such as Fundrise have been successful and grown assets. Other platforms have disappeared and gone out of business.

There is an interview online (one would have to search) from years ago with NAREIT and Jack Bogle that was excellent and very long. In that interview, Jack Bogle stated he did not believe in sector funds as indexing was the gold standard and sector funds were a dilution of that standard. However, he further stated that of all sector funds, he could see a 10% of portfolio allocation to REITs.nisiprius wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 7:13 am I don't think you can find anything in John C. Bogle's writing recommending REIT overweights, any other sector bets, or factor tilts. On the contrary, he explicitly attacked factor tilts in The Telltale Chart, an essay which factor mavens love to hate.

For those will bonds allocations in their portfolios such as AGGG, and knowing that cash/money market interest rates are way higher than bond ETFs rates and since bonds prices are still in a decline, are you adding AGGG/Bonds to your portfolio as usual, or are you keeping your fixed income portion of the portfolio in cash or money market funds at this stage? And why?
Thanks in advance.

With stock P/E so high and bond yields so high, it feels like we're in the year 2000 again with bonds poised to beat stocks over the next few years.

my VGT shares are 2,038.226 at basis of $549,444.8112 is valued at $927,005.62 as of today's close, ad its performance is 42% YTD, 12 months 25.32%.

I would have no idea how much in terms of $ or % our investment portfolio is “up”.
I learned a long time ago that is would not make any difference to our investment philosophy or strategy.
Our funds and asset classes will not change.
We will accept what the markets provide or take away.
Thank you Jack Bogle.

Hi splat789 -splat789 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 8:51 pm The problem with this is the word "cheap" is meaningless. US stocks are likely the cheapest they will ever be, and I guarantee you that they will be worth more than they are now in 10 years. Just because Ex-US stocks are priced lower than US stocks doesn't mean they are valued cheaply...rather they are likely valued fairly compared to their expected future performance.
