I suspect it is "old technology" that one previous poster puts it.

| I'm not concerned when I'm using brand name operations but splitting custody is almost costless. You can have a broker that just holds half of the positions. You trade/rebalance with another broker. |

| When people say tax deferred account, it's really a shorthand for tax deferred or tax free account. Holding them in Roth is as good as holding them in a traditional IRA or 401k. |
