My father isn't well off-state pension,living on his own now,but I know the sacrifices he made bringing up family,I pay for his heating,making sure he's never cold,once a month I take him out to a nice restaurant,and a week in winter we go on holiday in warmer climate,Spain or Portugal.(he doesn't know I pay heating,i add to rent --to proud)

I'm single an when I'm old,I know there will be no one there for me,so saving,investing will be my insurance

also enjoy the simple things more,cafes,restaurants,cinema

Lost 80%

7k to 1.4k

I've held this 5 years,bought before I knew about passive indexing.

The real hurt is I sold two bank shares to buy this which have trebled,and in future been a nice sum

how do you get a massive mistake out of mind,thoughts

vanguard lifestyle 60% equity looks the one for me

with low fees an diversification

don't have lump sum/will be pound/costing monthly into it

I'm more concerned with slowing building up capital than an outright risk
