The best video I seen on investing ever.
These videos just saved my life.

Hello guanonics, guanonics wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 9:36 am Here's one way to look at it. Suppose it is actually 20 years ago (2002) and you asked the same question. The 10 largest US companies at that time were:
GE, Microsoft, Exxon, WalMart, Pfizer, Citigroup, J&J, AIG, IBM, Intel
You pick two of these and hold until today. Would you be happy? Neither Apple nor Amazon are on the list. There's one big winner (Microsoft), a couple big losers (GE, AIG), and a lot in the middle. AIG had a drawdown of over 99% around 2008 from approximately $1,200 to $7. Yikes! I'm sticking with the index.

I need a review, sanity check, and clarification on the investment strategy below I am thinking of doing.
My goal is to obtain $1 million in 10-20 years by dollar cost average investment in 2 stocks. I am already dollar cost averaging in my 401k so I am set here. Now I want to setup my stocks investments and I want to do dollar cost average investment rather then trying time the market for cheap prices to buy.
20 years ago, GE was $237, today it's $62
22 years ago ENRON was $92, today it's zero (bankrupt and closed down)
Both of those were darlings in their heyday.

...
Life has to have more then work full time job for 30 years, max out 401k and then retire at 64 years old with your nest egg. And you better diverse that 401K right, cause you might be 64 and retire this year and take a big hit.
Noo, forget that. Lets get rich and lets get rich quick if we can.
Is this post satire or sarcasm?
This post is serious post, why would it be funny. Nothing I said in there is technical wrong. Maybe subjective. But it is practical.

Buying cheap and selling expensive is how you want to speculate.

Thank you so much thegasmaster for the response. Good response.thegasmaster wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 9:28 am I use TQQQ as my play casino investment. I send my 10% VA disability payment every month to M1 Finance, $152 month and it auto invests in TQQQ.
It is a very small part of my overall asset allocation, and has replaced my playing around in crypto. I could never sleep at night if had any money in there that I could not live with out.
I see it as a lottery ticket with better odds and it is enough fun to keep me interested.

Hello MotoTrojan,
Thank you retired@50 for the response.retired@50 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 6:47 pm I'd look into limit orders at your brokerage.
Set an order for 100 shares at $30 for XOM. When it fills, set another one for 100 shares at $25, etc.
