Re: Replacing Tires on BMW X3
Tread may look OK, but needs to be measured. Depth of 4/32" or less can cause hydroplaning and should be replaced. 2/32" of an inch or less is the shortest legal depth in many States. TireRack has great data on tire characteristics from actual users. My dealer matched Michelin prices from Costco and that surprised me. You can try and see what the BMW dealer will do. Some weeks they are slow and will do some dealing to keep shop busy. Don't run tires too close to 2/32", because stopping distances increase also on wet surfaces.

I have had excellent service with gloves from Berne. They have ones with 3M - Thinsulate and a waterproof barrier. They also have them in large sizes up to 4XL. You can buy them locally or from http://www.bernedirect.com They also have great stocking caps with a layer of 3M - Thinsulate between two layers. Berne makes clothes for heavy-duty use and priced reasonably. You will not be disappointed!

We installed new Midland Doors 15 years ago and have had great service from them. They are a metal skin with interior insulation. They are very quiet and exceptionally strong. My father in law has metal doors, no insulation - single skin and they are very noisy/clanky going up and down. They also clank when you open or close the door into the garage.

Take your time on this one. It is a very very personal decision and some people love the Sleep Number Beds with the separate inflation bladders on each side. Some love the foam, latex, etc. etc. etc. I personally get too warm with the foam type mattresses. Put on your most comfortable clothes and visit the stores. So many now have remote controls and position you in a zero gravity mode. There are so many mattresses through mail order and with long trial periods (90-120) days. We are also in the market and we have looked at Original Mattress Factory and they have some good features. Sealy also had some nice products for us. It seems like so many manufactures have gone away from the two sided mattress and only one side is made for people to s...

We have a 2012 Santa Fe and a 2017 Santa Fe Sport and both have been great SUVs. We have had Toyotas and were going to get another RAV4 and then test drove a Santa Fe. We liked several features of the Santa Fe better than the RAV4 and have never regretted it. The best warranty in the industry and the autos are put together extremely well. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The majority of people will want to do something to really help you and will follow your wishes. When my uncle died, he had it in his will - in lieu of - please do something nice to special person in your life. I thought that was a good option also for people. If your sister's family needs help, by all means state that and people will respond. Most important is for the family to heal over the loss. That takes time and the whole grieving process is different for all of us. I lost a brother to cancer very quickly and the thing I appreciated the most was a friend saying, I am here for you and I will offer my ears & tears to you, as long as you want. That was a tremendous act of kindness and understanding and it helped me immensely. I am dee...

I don't know how the $5,000 target was chosen, but I would like to make a great recommendation for another reason. I understand the Rolex, Omega and others for appreciation and status. If that is the case, great and more power to you. I started using the Citizen Eco-Drive watches almost at the beginning of their US sales. I purchased one back in 2000 and it still works great and no maintenance what so ever. I guess I have cleaned it externally a few times and the band. The battery is charged via the translucent disk over the face. I have liked the titanium series for low weight, high durability and non-allergenic. They are a great watch and I would recommend them to anyone. The Casio Solar also has been a good tough, less expensive, work da...

Depends on your priorities; we value all the safety features like, collision avoidance, blind spot detection, smart cruise control, pedestrian detection, lane change detetion, etc. etc.......... of newer cars and will buy car as new as possible to obtain all these features. We feel our lives and those we protect are the highest priority. Older higher miles cars most likely will not have those features.

CREE LED bulbs had some issues in the early days of them being released. The later CREE bulbs have lasted for me and give good light. I have also used FEIT and also had some early issues. My conclusion is the entire market is getting better with time. I used some Philips and had the same problems. Sometimes you just get a bad batch. I bought a Philips 50-100-150 3 way bulb equivalent and it lasted only 1 day. I got it replaced and it has been good for almost a year. I just recently bought some 60w & 100w Feit from Costco and both types are working very well.

I would also seriously consider a Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla or Hyundai Elantra. There are some great deals on new cars and you would be covered by warranty for a minimum 3 years - 36,000 miles and full road side protection. If you are concerned about no hassle and no extra repair costs, that would certainly something I would look into. I have a friend with a Prius and I thought it had a so-so ride and not very good seats.

I am looking at the Vanguard Total Bond ETF ( BND) and the Vanguard Bond Mutual Fund (VBTLX). I looked at the comparison characteristics in the Vanguard website and I feel pretty comfortable with the data. There are always items that can be missed or not viewed as important and later on are a big deal. Is the bid - ask price a big deal on larger dollar amounts invested vs the mutual fund? Does the pricing change during the day of an ETF make a big difference. I am new to ETFs and don't want to overlook something important. Are there any other differences that have caused issues for you?

The replacement has been great with no problems. LED's are still not there for dimmable use, but with new LED dimmer and some time, I thing they will be fine. I just saw 6 Feit 60W 2700K bulbs at Costco for $8.99 with rebate from Xcel Energy; How can you go wrong with that deal???? LEDs have come a long way and are great, especially for the price.

Review Consumer Reports and make sure the mower meets/fits your needs. Electric Mowers are getting much better and some people love them totally. Some people only mulch and want a good mulching mower. Toro and Honda have top mulching mowers and the Honda mowers with the 4 in 1 Clip Director are extremely good. Toro and Honda had the top 13 mowers in the Consumer Reports ratings for self propelled mowers.
I also use non-oxygenated(no ethanol) fuel and that seems to make a huge difference. I have no starting issues and even if the fuel gets a little older, no problems.

You should drive the vehicle with a non-turbo engine and with the turbo engine. We looked at both the 2.4 4-cylinder non-turbo and 2.0 Turbo 4-cylinder on the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. The 2.4 was fine, but the Turbo added so much more. The thing that impressed me is the torque curve of the turbo engine. The turbo version has 260 ft.-lbs from 1450-3500 rpm. It also uses a twin-scroll turbo to make it more efficient. I noticed you don't have to be in the upper rpm range to have good driveability. We chose the 2.0T.

I have a Honda HRX217HXA and mulch all the time. If it is clumping and building up on the left rear tire, I use more overlap of previously cut grass and slow down. With very lush grass and cutting more than an inch off, it does have a tendency to clump. Make sure your blades are sharp, deck cleaned and engine running at top governed rpm. The following is from the Honda Power Equipment site for FAQs on lawnmowers: Does it matter what direction I mow? For an even lawn finish, overlap each mowing swath by a few inches. If the grass is very tall or thick, use more overlap and a narrower mowing swath. Your Honda mower will work most efficiently if you use the following mowing patterns as much as possible. Mower deck and equipment design and the ...

As you can see, it depends on the make and model. Sedans at this point offer huge discounts and it is definitely a buyer's market. Pickups & SUVs are in more demand and hence not as large of discounts. Buy what you really want and meets/fits your needs. Price is one variable that easily disappears if you are not happy with the vehicle.
It is amazing about Toyota Tacoma pickups. They hold their value and buying a 1-2 year old may be not be a deal, compared to new.

We have a loaded Forester XT 2017 and love it. Subaru head gasket issues were on their line of non-turbo motors. Don't exclude the Hyundai vehicles (Tucson and Santa Fe). The Santa Fe 2.0T AWD was an excellent vehicle and is significantly cheaper for the same feature set, but the visibility in the Forester won out for us. You will be impressed at the Hyundais. Costco has some excellent promotions at times. When I bought my iPhone 6 S from Costco, they added an Otter Case & a tempered glass overlay for the phone. They also had a promotion going that gave us a $350 Costco Cash Card. The data plan was the same price as the Verizon Store. So basically, you received the case, glass overlay and $350 Costco Cash Card on top of what you would receive from the Verizon Store. Costco return/exchange policy is the best. Someone mentioned Kia Sorento. Also look at the full length Hyundai Santa fe. Best warranty in the industry - 5 yr. 60,000 miles bumper to bumper and 10 yr. 100,000 mile drivetrain as is the Kia. 3.3 V6 has a 5000 lb. towing capacity It is definitely worth a look and test drive.

Re: Purchasing a 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.0T
I just drove a Sonata Sport 2.4 liter and it was a nice riding and handling car. I would seriously try the Camry & Accord and see how they fit you and your driving and riding style & comfort. Camry has just been redesigned, 2018 model. Hyundai has come a long way; we had a RAV4 and tried the Santa fe with great results. I would definitely buy another Hyundai, with the 5 years of history on our Santa fe. Hyundai puts a lot of features and value into their vehicles. Toyota and Honda both were making some of their models with cheaper content. The Civic and Corolla had to be updated and improved because of all the complaints from customers who bought them and were disappointed, compared to older models.
