14 seer sounds low. Evaluate the costs of moving up 1-2-3 steps. and two stage vs single stage. Then calculate that difference in cost with likely savings.

We installed two stage 17.5 seer and couldn't be happier with lower monthly bills, etc.

I only backup "my documents" and I do that on two different external hard drives and one usb stick. Always two different locations beside my computer hold current data. Of course that doesn't protect fire or theft but I'm comfortable with this.
