Long Term Capital Gains Question

I think our income will fall below $74,900 this year as my spouse will have almost no earnings. This would put us in the 15% bracket. I understand that LT Capital Gains in this bracket are not taxed. What is unclear is whether the LT Cap gains are added to your income to determine your bracket. For ...

Buy Immed. Annuity w/ or w/o Inflation Adjust?

Hi Annuity Experts, I'm 73 years old, in good health (my father lived to 98) and am considering annuitizing about 1/3 of my nest egg. Time to go to cash?

I'm a 72 year old retiree with 70% in bonds: VG Total Bond Mkt (42%), TIPS Fund (14%) and High Yield Corp Fund (14%) and 30% in various VG stock funds. All are in a taxable account. All of my gains are long term so there would only be a 15% tax if sold this year. I also have 3-4 years living expense...

Emerging Markets Stock Index

I presently have Total Int'l Stock Index and am considering adding the Emerging Markets Stock Index. Does this appear to be a wise addition and, considering its dramatic recent returns, is this timely?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
