I came across a annuity expert who seems to be pro client. he is a regular contributor on marketwatch in the retirement section.He is called stan the annuity man. Has anybody purchased an spia through him. He is an advocate of fixed annuities.

car mpg math problem

car a costs 18000 car b $15400. car a has a combined ave of 32 mpg city/ highway. car b is 50mpg. i drive 12250 miles a year. gas averages 3.30 a gallon. how long does it take to own car a to make up the$2600 difference in car price costs?

hi sheepdog. That website said my ee bonds initial maturity period was 12 years(doubled in value) and earned 6% for those first 12 years.(bonds purchased before march 1993). Now I believe they earn 4% for the remaining 18 years (to full maturity). thank you and best wishes

Hi bogleheads. I own some ee savings bonds purchased between 1991-1993. Treasury direct says they earn 4% till maturity (30 years). I thought thet earned 6% for first ten years. Can someone chime in and enlighten me?

I line in nh. and bought a jh ltc policy 2 years ago and I am still waiting for them to finish the partnership paperwork, nh. became a member of the partnership program in 2008 or 2009. why are state and jh so slow?

I did a 1035 exchange in 2008 of $140,300. to met life. so 140k for 7 years at 6.30%=215k (principal was 119k and currently earnings are 55k (currently worth 174k.) I hope this clarifies .
