I am a GenX'er. I started saving for retirement in my 401k and Roth IRA when I was 22. Started saving 10% at 22 in my 401k and was able to max out my 401K at age 29 and have ever since.

Since my premiums are only $268/yr I plan to keep paying them until age 65. Then I guess it will be paid in full. I've heard then the policy could start paying me out like an annuity. I need to follow up and get more info about that from Northwestern.

The company I work for offers a 401k match of $0.40 for every $1.00 I put in up to 15% of my salary. Is this good? How does it compare?
