Re: What Used Car Should I Get for <10K

I have two cars. One for pleasure and one for my commute. My commuter is a Toyota Camry. I now have 223,000 miles on it and it's still pushing along. Very reliable and recommended.

Re: Tracking Credit Score

Like some of the others said, Discover provides FICO for free. They update it monthly. I check that on my statement each month. I never pay for reports or score. I take advantage of my free reports from the 3 bureaus each month using annualcreditreport.com

Re: Purchasing Food at Work

I struggle with this as well sometimes. I go through periods where I am lazy and don't prepare my lunch the night before. The cafe in my building is VERY expensive. A build your own salad typically costs me about $12.

roku and time warner app

I want to put a small tv in our kitchen without getting a new cable box. I have Time Warner cable and understand that there is an app for roku. Anyone have experience with this app? Does it work well?

Re: Is 3D tv better for Non-3D viewing?

I bought a Samsung 3dtv last year. The picture is amazing....watched 3d twice. Don't bother. Samsung LEDs without 3D are great as well and you will save a few bucks.

I just checked out her school's plans and they also offer a 457 plan. There is only one provider for this plan which is New York State Deferred Comp Plan - 457. Want to cut the cable cord

I would love to cut the Time Warner Cable cord but haven't found the solution yet. Also, my gf is saying she doesn't want me to. Re: Jacuzzi... What to do

If you aren't using it, sell it. If you keep it, have a pool company come weekly to keep the chem. balance. I have one and our pool company comes weekly to handle both pool and the spa. I used to close it down for the winter (in NY)....I no longer do this. I keep it going year round.

Old wedding band

Hey all. I have an old wedding band from a previous marriage. It's platinum and want to get rid of it. Unfortunately, it's engraved on the inside. Assuming it would be difficult to sell with the engraving. Anyone have any good advice on selling it?

Re: Roomba vacuums

I personally use a Neato, which navigates differently than Roombas AFAIK. Instead of bumping into things, it scans each room and maps a path. It then vacuums each room before moving to the next. It can also return to its charging station to charge, and continue vacuuming where it left off. I love t...

Re: 401k Help [Fund fees for small employer plan]

Wow! I thought my old plan was high with 1% - 1.5% avg exp ratios. This is off the charts. I was able to get my company to switch to something better...still not the best but far better than what we were in. See what you can do. I wouldn't take part on this at all.
