Re: 401k Max-out Strategy

Do all companies stop your contribution after the IRS limit? I always put in $100 or so less because I didn't want to accidentally go over the limit then have to deal with that.

Re: What was your costliest investment mistake?

The Bad
Not contributing to my 401k for 3 years so I could save money for a house so I missed out on the company match and the returns.

The Good
I'm only 26 and the last 2 years I started maxing my 401k + Roth IRA. :D

I funded mine yesterday. I can't predict the future so no reason waiting for something that might not happen like stocks going down, plus I rather get it done and over with. :sharebeer

In December 2012, the Federal Reserve committed to keep the fed funds rate below 0.25% until either unemployment falls below 6.5%, or inflation rises above 2.5%. We are currently at 7.9% unemployment and 1.6% inflation. Thus, rates will not increase for some time to come. Of course, we should all h...

I honestly don't know why people are so concerned with mints security. Especially considering if you just link your credit cards and something does happen you will still be covered.

It's no worse then buying something online with your credit card.
