Vanguard 401k Questions

i'm switching jobs soon, and my new employeer uses vanguard for their 401k. currently i'm with schwab, and i love the ability to use the personal choice retirement account option to have access to everything schwab offers.

does vanguard offer anything similar?

Re: Income required to Max out a 401/Profit Sharing Plan

So as a physician in a partnership in your group, you can incorporate as an individual and that corporation is a partner? Crazy stuff.

Does that offer you any additional liability protection - medical or business related?

Re: Any Prius owners?

love our prius as well. gas milage between 48-50 mpg. rides great. have just one kid, so packing is a breeze for beach trips. with 3 kids i'd imagine it would be a little tight. it's easy to obliterate your visibility directly behind you if you pack it in.

Relocating to California - How much Salary Increase Needed?

We may be relocating from VA for a new job in Oakland, CA. We'd live in the Bay Area, but not sure where. For a household income of 160k, will a new income between 200-220k provide for a similar standard of living? I've tried some calculators online, but they're all over the place. I'd like to solic...

Tax Strategy

Every year in the past, I just paid my taxes and went on with it, but I'd love to be able to have some control in influencing my tax burden going forward.

How do you determine your tax strategy for the coming year?

Also, how does this vary at different levels of income?
