It's getting close to the end of year and I am looking at ways of reducing my taxable income. I've maxed out my 401k and will contribute 5k to my Roth IRA. bonktown you don't specify an AA so I recommend 75% stocks, 25% bonds, with 30% of stocks in international. That breaks down to 52% US stocks, 23% international stocks, and 25% bonds. bonktown , you need to edit your post. You have 59% in a 403b (this is NOT taxable, it's tax-sheltered) and 41% in a Roth IRA (also tax-sheltered). We need to know all the options available in your 403b -- the name of the fund, the ticker symbol if it has one, and most importantly the expense ratio...
