Re: I have no idea how to manage my money

Also, not trying to be morbid, but how would you factor in probable inheritance within the next 15-20 years of roughly low-mid six figures?

I realize this is a lot of questions. Maybe my GF and I are just better off meeting with someone?

I have no idea how to manage my money

Good Morning, I am 28. My girlfriend is 25. We live in Florida and combined, we make roughly 90k/yr taxed and also $12,312/yr non taxed @ $1,026/month for life. My job also has a very good rate of growth and great potential for raise/promotion should I choose to go that route. Typically, after taxes...

Re: 27 Year Old Disabled Veteran, Investment Rookie

Thank you so much for the advice! I look forward to applying it shortly. My only question is in regards to the Roth IRAs. Do I have until April 15, 2013 to max out the 2012 IRA's for my wife and I? Also, going forward, should I be trying to max these out in a lump sum if possible or just putting $41...

Re: 27 Year Old Disabled Veteran, Investment Rookie

Thank you. I have edited the OP to the best of my ability. Does your wife have any kind of plan at work? How much can you save for retirement each year? My wife does not work, I am trying to get her as my approved caretaker from the VA, which would also yield more tax free income. I currently have ...

Re: 27 Year Old Disabled Veteran, Investment Rookie

Re: 27 Year Old Disabled Veteran, Investment Rookie

A big thank you for all the well wishes and advice! I am very happy for the prompt and willingness to assist in the replies. I do have a few questions. 1.) Should I wait until I have more money to invest before going to Vanguard and opening BND, VTI, and VXUS? At the moment, all I have is my $7500 s...
