Sell everything with gains now (part will be capital gain, part will be ordinary income). Sell everything with losses on Jan 2 so you can use them to offset only ordinary income. Hi There, I have over $20K PHG (current price $26.46) stock accumulated in ESPP over last 4-5 yrs. Thanks Landy and Ducky. er for VIPSX in her 401k is .22%. I did wanted to keep Vanguard PRIMECAP Fund Investor Shares(VPMCX) (.45%) in her 401k as its not available from outside.
