Re: What age did you reach 100K networth?

Not sure since had some stocks that family bought long time ago. So maybe 20-25, but it wasn't thanks to me. My wife is now 32 & I'm 33 and we have around triple that amount including home equity. Would have been more if I would have met you guys earlier.

Re: Tax implications on taxable accounts

You pay taxes based on the gains and the length of time you have held them. If you are in the 10/15% tax-bracket, you pay zero after 1 year. Over that, you only pay 15% if held over 1 year. Sell before that time, you pay at whatever tax-bracket you are in. Yup, Vanguard will give you a form to take...

We have a 3-month old and we live in the South with a very hot & humid climate. Not sure actually, but we have a pest control company spray outside every 12 months and so far its been pretty good. Have seen a few roaches since we bought the house 3.5 years ago, but it hasn't been that many.

In Sweden I'm pretty sure they have an index fund for the 30 biggest companies (OMX30) that has a 0% ER. The company is called Avanza and the fund is called Avanza Zero. Re: ING or Ameriprise?

The compnay that I work for (about 100 people) has ING as their 401k choice. All of the funds that are available to us have about a 1% ER. Then the FAs, that I have never met, add another 1%.

Yeah, its that terrible.
